About Ecuador
The Galapagos tortoises sound familiar to you, or the famous discovery of Charles Darwin where he was inspired to develop the theory of the evolution of species, or also the imposing volcanoes where you can climb and sleep around them. Its land is rich in fruits and flowers, it is the largest banana exporter in the world, and it is also known for its cocoa internationally.
Ecuador is located on the continent of South America, its capital is Quito where the famous monument of the middle of the world is. It has a population of approximately 16 million inhabitants and is divided into three main regions: the coast, the mountains and the Amazon. The great treasure of Ecuador is the Galapagos Islands, where they were declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco. The language spoken is Spanish and it is rich in its gastronomy due to the diversity of ethnicities and races within the territory. Geographically, the country limits to the north with Colombia, to the south with Peru, to the east is the great jungle and the Amazon River that borders Brazil and finally to the west with the insular region.
